Upon the instructions of Bangladeshi Army Chief and her advisors, she left the country to a safer place, probably in India.

The resignation came a day after 90 people were killed and many were injured in a new round of demonstrations. As of now, 300 people have been killed since the beginning of this protests and demonstrations.

Background of the Story

Bangladeshi government had reserved one third quota in civil service jobs for the relatives of the Veterans of Bangladesh’s independence war with Pakistan in 1971.

The unrest was started in Dhaka a month ago when few students gathered to protest against the quota system in civil service jobs.

Despite Supreme court ruling and scaling down the quota, the protests then converted into anti-government protests after the killing of students by the Bangladeshi Police.

Ms Hasina offered an unconditional dialogue with the student leaders. She said;

“I want to sit with the agitating students of the movement and listen to them. I want no conflict,”

But the student protestors plainly rejected the offer and asked her resignation.

On the other side, the government argued that police opened fire in self – defence and also to protect state properties.

Since, the beginning of this conflict, the Government of Bangladesh completely shutdown the internet in order to bring order in the country. Moreover, public holidays were also announced to impose curfew. However, it didn’t work for the government to control the unrest.

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina Flees

Just like what has happened in Sri Lanka, a similar thing happened in Bangladesh as well. The protestors stormed the house of Prime House.

After consultations with the advisors, Ms Hasina left Bangladesh to a safer place and resigned from her post.

Most of the people working in the Philippines, work under extremely inhumane conditions and are charged extremely low compared to how much they work. This is because of less resources and jobs. People hardly get any job and thus end up working on low salaries.

Not only injustice in jobs and salaries, Philippines people also face human rights issues. These include: extrajudicial killings, degrading treatment or punishment and ill treatment by upper class on the lower class.

7. Poor Urban Planning and Traffic Problems

There is no proper urban planning in the Philippines. There are less proper roads, very less motorways, and the planning is really poor. This leads to heavy traffic and is a continuous problem for citizens.

8. Corruption

Like any other developing country, one of the major issues that the Philippines is facing is nothing but Corruption. The national to local and from local to provincial government, everywhere is full of corrupt people.

If we look back, even the former presidents have had multiple corruption cases on them. None of those cases are solved yet, making us believe that this problem will not be solved in 2024.

9. Health care Problems

There is almost no investing in public health care. Therefore, to get quality health care, still remains a challenge for most of the population. The poor are specifically and specially affected by the poor health care system. The government needs to work on the infrastructure of the healthcare system.

He declared Martial Law on Urgent basis. Instead of getting offer to leave the country safely, Zelensky stays there. He has communicated with the West Leaders that they don’t need Plane to fly but they need weapons to fight.

In this panic and dreadful dilemma in the country, President is very active among his public and keep on posting videos in which he is encouraging his public to stay strong and show high resistance against Russia.

Tension was already engulfing Israel and Palestine since April with angry Arab protestors targeting Israeli Jews and Jewish supremacist chanting in the streets “death to all Arabs”.

These incidents were not something unusual on their own but they certainly set the tone for what was to come with the Israeli court ruling, yet again, that the six Palestinian Families were to be evicted from Sheikh Jarrah, located in East Jerusalem, by May 2021 and their lands to be handed over to Jewish Families.  

The Israeli Court originally gave the verdict in October 2020 but the affected Palestinian Families filed an appeal against the verdict which was followed by mostly peaceful protests and nightly vigils which demanded the Israeli Government to put an end to the forceful eviction of Palestinians from their homes.

On May 2, the Israeli court ruled in favor of eviction which obviously spread anger and resentments among Palestinians and they continued their protests with more vigor. Israel Government deployed forces instead of handling the protests with strategy and this is how the situation escalated and the bloody conflict broke out that left 250 Palestinians and 13 Israeli soldiers dead as well as many seriously injured on both sides.

On May 7th, Violence broke out at Al-Aqsa Mosque which left 330 Palestinians injured:

On May 7, which also happens to be the Holiest night of Ramzan known among Muslims as Laylat al-Qadr, Israeli Police entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked the worshippers with water cannons, rubber bullets, and stun grenades which left hundreds of worshippers injured. The videos of the incident went viral on Twitter inciting outrage and bitter criticism of Israel’s inhumane treatment of Palestinians.

The fact that Israeli security forces targeted worshippers on the Holiest night of Ramzan did not sit well with Muslims all over the world who are already over-sensitive about the Palestine-Israel issue. However so far the global forces and big philanthropic organizations had kept quiet which further hurt the sentiments of Muslims and Palestinian supporters.

Hamas, the Palestinian militant group, attacked Israel with rockets on Jerusalem Day:

The tension, clashes, and use of force by Israeli police increased in the days following the brutal Al-Aqsa incident and it all culminated on May 10; also known as Jerusalem Day among Israeli citizens.

Jerusalem Day commemorates and celebrates the capture of East Jerusalem by Israel in the aftermath of the 1967 Arab-Israel War. It is an Israeli National Holiday that is celebrated with considerable enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.

The prominent Palestinian Militant group Hamas, which controls Gaza territory, had demanded the removal of Israeli police from Sheikh Jarrah and Al-Aqsa Mosque territory by 6 PM of Jerusalem Day.

When the deadline was not followed, Hamas launched about 150 rockets towards Israeli territory. The Militant group claimed that the rocket attack was a response to the recent use of force against Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah and aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The spokesman for Hamas, Abu Ubiada, claimed that Hamas launched “a rocket strike against the enemy in the occupied Jerusalem in response to their crimes and aggression against the holy city and its aggression against our people in Sheikh Jarrah and Al-Aqsa mosque.”

Reports on the casualties remain ambiguous but fewer than ten people died in Israel including two children in the aftermath of the rocket strikes.

Israel Responded with Air Strikes and dispatched infantry to attack the Hamas Military Posts and hideouts of its prominent commanders:

The state of Israel immediately and aggressively responded by sending 80 jets to attack Hamas Military Units in Gaza and dispatched infantry to strengthen the defense at the border.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel commented on the incident in these words “Israel will respond very forcefully. We will not tolerate attacks on our territory, our capital, our citizens, and our soldiers. Whoever strikes us will pay a heavy price.”

The several Israel missiles targeted different infrastructures including tunnels and civilian buildings while Israel’s representative made vague remarks about targeting only functional military Units of Hamas.

Israel continued to attack areas and even civilian buildings for at least a week until a cease-fire was agreed upon. The International concern over Palestinian casualties and the future of the region amplified as the aerial warfare between Palestine and Israel escalated.

The White House made it clear that Israel has the legitimate right to defend itself from rocket strikes but insisted that Jerusalem should be a place of peace and co-existence.

On May 15, Israel Bombed Media Headquarters and Refugee camps in Gaza:

Israel bombed Al-Jazeera media headquarters housed in 12-story Gaza towers and Gaza Refugee Camps. No casualty was reported from the media house since it was evacuated but 10 members of a family died in Refugee camps from Israeli airstrikes.

Israeli military gave the occupants of the Gaza Tower an hour to evacuate and that is why the building was empty when three missiles struck the building and leveled it to the ground. The video of the airstrike was everywhere on social media. The advocates of free Press and journalists vehemently attacked Israel for trying to censor the media’s coverage of Israel’s inhumane treatment of Palestinians.

The Israeli military claimed that the 12 story building was housing Hamas Military Intelligence but as of now Israel hasn’t been able to procure any evidence to prove the presence of the Hamas Military post in Gaza Tower.

On May 21, both Israel and Hamas Agreed to a Ceasefire marking the end of the bloody conflict:

After several international interceptions and reported Behind-the-scenes efforts by countries like Egypt, both parties agreed to a ceasefire which immediately went into effect. The violence, airstrikes, and bloodshed finally ended after 11 days with both Israel and Hamas claiming victory.

About 250 Palestinians died and 2000 were badly wounded and at least 13 Israelis were killed in the 11 days. Also, Gaza sustained millions of dollars of infrastructure damage and 72,000 Palestinians were displaced. It is safe to say that both sides paid a heavy price by jumping into action recklessly and almost starting a civil war.   

The ceasefire may be in place for now but the conflict is far from over. The people of Palestine and the people of Israel deserve to live in peace and harmony. The only solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict is co-existence.

There is also an immediate need for Israel to abolish laws that discriminate against Palestinians and displace them to avoid similar conflicts in the future.

October 13^th in Maharashtra, Mumbai, the financial capital as well as the largest city of India and a densely populated city was said to be under a cyber attack by the Chinese Hackers following the Galwan valley clash between the Chinese army and the Indian army on the line of control what is said to be the border of the disputed Askai Chin region of china and the Ladakh region near India located on the east of Karakorum range.

The Mumbai blackout ended up entire twelve hours resulting in the downfall of the stock market, train discontinuation, hospitals and ventilators getting affected that too in times of COVID’19 pandemic.

Early news reports by Indian officials said that the cause of the blackout was due to a Chinese-origin cyber attack on the Indian electric grid supply and load management center that was located nearby.

The chief operating officer of Recorded Future, a cybersecurity company that specializes in propagation and transmission of threat intelligence, Stuart Solomon stated that the state-supported Chinese hackers have previously been seen intruding on many of the Indian power generation and transmission infrastructure, which are said to be exceptionally advanced cyber hacking techniques.

WHAT DID THE ATTACK MEAN?

The attack was said to be a warning from the Chinese government to India of what they are capable of and what could happen if they don’t back out from the India China border.

Both the nuclear powers apparently believe that the other would not go as far as bring the nuclear weapons into the battle. And cyberattack means that the battle can be handled with negotiation, unlike the destructive and devastating nuclear attack.

It was also said that while there was an armed clash going on near the Ladakh border, the power control was hacked and loaded with intense spyware, although most of that was not even activated; only the small part was able to reach Mumbai causing the entire ruckus in the city, as reported by the recorded future.

It was also said that RedEcho, the organization behind the Mumbai blackout, might have planted more viruses in the major power plants in India.

RESPONSES FROM GOVERNMENTS

According to New York Times, the Energy Minister of Maharashtra, India, Nitin Raut stated on 1^st March 2021 that the power breakdown in Mumbai last year may have been a doing of Chinese geeks and that three committees have been formed by the government to further look into the matter.

Also, the power system operation cooperation (POSOCO) is not impacted by the malware attacks and measures are being taken against the threats.

During all of this chaos, the Chinese government stayed low-key and did not counter the questions thrown at them by the Indian media. Although from India’s side there was an eruption of a cyber aggressive attitude because last year in February The Indian state-backed hackers took the support of emails containing malware related to the coronavirus and pandemic to aim at the Chinese organizations based in Wuhan, China.

COUNTER ATTACK BY CHINA

In response to this cyberattack, china released forty thousand three hundred attempts to hack India’s technology and banking infrastructure in a span of 5 days.

It can be said that this is just a threat given to the Indian government because again in December 2020, because an Indian nonprofit organization by the name of Cyber Peace Foundation’s security experts found out about a new wave of Chinese attacks where just as before the Chinese hackers sent phishing emails to the Indian people with content related to the upcoming Indian national holidays.

It was later found out that the emails were sent from fang Xiao Qing, an organization that sought to access the Indians device for a future invasion, running from the Guangdong and Henan provinces of China

Also, the military professionals in India have requested to remove the Chinese manufactured hardware which is utilized in their power sector, and Indian electric grids as well as train system that is also brought from China.

Though it is evident that with the increasing population and poverty rate in India it will be an almost impossible task for the Indian government to take this decision. The point to be noted here is that the Indian power system is distributed into five regional grids.
