Acrylic painting makes for an added dramatic effect in Nature paintings because of the near-real texture that they impart with each stroke. Michelle Manley, a Texas-based artist, uses acrylic painting to recreate storm scenes in different locations.
The paintings are supposedly a glorification of the endless power that Nature has, and can unleash at times. The dark storm clouds that swirl around and overpower the landscape, take the form of surreal, ghostly creatures. They seem to have separate entities of their own, and are visibly on a rampage so that they can assert that identity over all other natural creations. via Michelle Manley’s website | via [not shaking the grass] | via mymodernmet
